According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the domestic price of LLDPE (7042) was 8,197 RMB/ton on January 19, and the average price was 8,382 RMB/ton on January 29. The increase rate during the period was 2.27%, down 0.12% from January 1.
According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the average ex-factory price of LDPE (2426H) was 8,950 RMB/ton on January 19 and 9,150 RMB/ton on January 29, with an increase of 2.23% during the period, 0.55% higher than that on January 1.
According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the average ex-factory price of HDPE (5000S) was 8,416 RMB/ton on January 19 and 8,500 RMB/ton on January 29, with an increase of 0.99% during the period, up 0.39% from January 1.
The spot price of polyethylene rose in January. The ex-factory price of petrochemical enterprises was raised, and the traders increased accordingly. In terms of supply, there were devices put into operation at the end of January and the beginning of February, and the pressure of product supply increased. In terms of terminal demand, downstream factories have not yet resumed work, and market transactions are limited. As downstream enterprises gradually resume work, market demand may increase. The production of new polyethylene production capacity will be concentrated in the first quarter of 2023, and it is expected that the growth space of polyethylene will be limited.
